[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Saudi Arabia has introduced a fresh council to supervise the operations of the two most sacred mosques in Islam. The announcement was made by the Saudi Cabinet on Thursday.
The Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah hold significant importance in the Islamic faith.
The newly established council, named the Presidency of the Religious Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, will be under the direct authority of King Salman.
This council will be responsible for various religious matters in both mosques, including delivering sermons, conducting religious teachings, and issuing calls to prayer.

Moreover, the previously known “General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques” will now be referred to as the “General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.”
