Netflix has officially announced the release date for Season 2 of Squid Game: December 26, 2024. The announcement came with a track-and-field-themed teaser, highlighting the intense and competitive nature of the show.
The teaser video, shared on Netflix’s official X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts, features people sprinting on a crowded track, transitioning to a dramatic reveal of the Front Man asking, “It’s been three years. Do you want to play a game?”

The official synopsis teases that three years after winning the deadly games, Player 456 (Lee Jung-jae) is determined to dismantle the organization behind the Squid Game. His quest leads him to play ddakji in the subway, ultimately forcing him to re-enter the game to end it once and for all.
Additionally, Netflix has announced that the third and final season will be released in 2025.
For fans eagerly awaiting the new season, Season 1 of Squid Game is currently available for streaming on Netflix, along with the spin-off reality competition series Squid Game: The Challenge.
