Netanyahu, Trump Reportedly Agree on Post-Gaza Plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump have reportedly agreed on a sweeping post-conflict blueprint for Gaza, aimed at ending the war within two weeks, dismantling Hamas leadership, and replacing it with Arab-led governance, Israel Hayom.

Citing a source familiar with the talks, the paper said the agreement was reached during a late-night call involving Netanyahu, Trump, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer. The reported plan outlines the exile of Hamas leaders, release of Israeli hostages, and transfer of Gaza’s administration to a coalition including the UAE and Egypt. It also includes an ambitious goal of expanding the Abraham Accords to include countries such as Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Following the report, Netanyahu released a video message calling the recent joint strike on Iran a “great victory” and urging swift action to leverage the resulting “window of opportunity” for broader peace and normalization in the region. “Not even a single day can be wasted,” he emphasized.

However, the proposal faces stiff resistance. Arab states have maintained they will not engage in Gaza’s reconstruction unless the Palestinian Authority is given a meaningful role—something Netanyahu continues to oppose. Meanwhile, Hamas has rejected the idea of its leadership going into exile.

The plan reportedly contains controversial provisions, including a conditional Israeli endorsement of a future two-state solution tied to internal reforms within the PA, and a possible US recognition of Israeli sovereignty over parts of the West Bank. It also suggests voluntary emigration options for Gazans—an idea previously criticized by rights groups as forced displacement.

The talks come amid a fragile ceasefire and rising diplomatic friction. Trump, posting on Truth Social, expressed rare public criticism of Netanyahu over Israel’s military approach and ongoing corruption trial, further complicating the political backdrop.
