Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed early Tuesday that Israel has officially agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire with Iran, declaring that the country has “achieved all of its war goals” under Operation Rising Lion.
In a statement from Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli government claimed to have successfully neutralized Iran’s dual threats—its nuclear ambitions and ballistic missile capabilities. “Israel has removed an immediate dual threat—both in the nuclear field and in the field of ballistic missiles,” the statement noted, adding that Israel now stands “in line with the great powers of the world.”

The announcement came shortly after US President Donald Trump declared a “complete and total” ceasefire between the two longtime adversaries. Netanyahu’s office credited the United States for its defense support and joint coordination in what Israel is framing as a strategic victory.
According to the statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted major strikes inside Tehran over the past 24 hours, claiming to have eliminated a senior Iranian nuclear scientist and hundreds of Basij operatives, while securing full air superiority over Iranian airspace.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel warned of a swift and forceful response to any violation of the deal. Citizens were urged to continue observing Home Front Command safety protocols until full compliance is confirmed.
Netanyahu is expected to address the nation later today to provide further details on the operation and future security measures.
