The National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) of NDMA has issued an impact-based weather advisory in response to forecasts of an intense heatwave expected to affect several regions of Pakistan in the coming days.
As per the alert, persistent high-pressure systems in the upper atmosphere are likely to trigger extreme temperatures, especially across southern Punjab, Sindh, eastern Balochistan, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Areas most at risk include Jacobabad, Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Nawabshah in Sindh; Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rajanpur in southern Punjab; Sibi, Nasirabad, Dera Murad Jamali, and Jaffarabad in eastern Balochistan; along with Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and Bannu in KP.
