NCCIA Detains Man for Impersonating a Woman to Exploit Minors

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in Islamabad has arrested a man accused of impersonating a woman online to lure minors and obtain obscene material. A case has been filed against him.

Officials identified the suspect as Mohi-ud-Din, who was taken into custody from Peer Mashhadi, Tralai Kalan, Islamabad, under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and Section 109.

According to the NCCIA spokesperson, the accused used social media to pose as a woman, target underage children, and gather explicit content.

Authorities seized a mobile phone and SIM card from the suspect, and further investigation is underway.
