After an 18-year hiatus, Pakistan’s largest sporting event, the National Games 2025, will be held in Karachi from May 1 to May 9, as announced by the Sindh Sports Department. Minister for Sports, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, revealed that the games will feature competitions in 34 sports across 21 venues and will see participation from over 10,000 athletes nationwide.

The opening and closing ceremonies are scheduled to take place at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium in Karachi, with invitations extended to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan. This event marks a significant effort to revive sports in the country and is expected to play a key role in rejuvenating Karachi’s sports scene.
