Unfortunately, his injury prevented him from participating in the recent 2023 ODI World Cup in India, where his absence was notably felt in the bowling department.
The 20-year-old cricketer is set to represent Islamabad United in the upcoming PSL 9 after a significant trade with Quetta Gladiators in December.
Despite attracting bids from Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi, Naseem Shah opted for Islamabad United, where he will join his brothers Hunain and Obaid Shah for PSL 9. The season is scheduled to commence next month, with Lahore Qalandars aiming to defend their title.
PSL 9 is slated to take place from February 17 to March 17, 2024, with matches scheduled in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
