The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the opening of three new mega centres in Karachi. These centres will be located in Malir Cantt, Malir, and Surjani Town. The new facilities aim to provide better services and improve convenience for the people of Karachi.
NADRA spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali said the centres will help reduce waiting times and offer faster processing of identity documents. He clarified that the fees for Pak ID services at these centres will remain the same as at other NADRA offices.
Ali also noted that many overseas Pakistanis are actively using the NADRA Pak ID platform. This shows the importance of digital services for Pakistanis living abroad.
The spokesperson further mentioned that an investigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is ongoing against the former NADRA chairman and several officers. Details of dismissed and under-investigation officials will be shared with the media soon.
Recent changes in identity laws were introduced to make services easier for the public. However, birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates continue to be issued by the Union Councils.
Previously, NADRA improved its services in other areas, including Saidpur, Sihala, and Model Town. The new mega centres in Karachi mark a significant step forward in offering centralized, efficient services to citizens.
NADRA aims to modernize identity services and bring them closer to the people. The new centres will serve thousands of citizens each week and help meet the growing demand for faster and better service.
Overall, NADRA’s launch of these mega centres highlights its commitment to improving public service delivery and supporting both local and overseas Pakistanis.
