NADRA Introduces Major Changes to Improve Services Across Pakistan

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced several new measures aimed at improving identity verification and public services. The latest changes are expected to impact millions of citizens across Pakistan.

Officials said NADRA is upgrading its biometric verification system. This step will improve accuracy and strengthen the security of citizen records. The move is part of a broader effort to reduce identity fraud and improve documentation processes.

NADRA is also expanding its registration network. New centers are being set up in remote and underserved areas. This will help reduce long queues and make services more accessible for people living far from major cities.

The authority is working on integrating its database with other government departments. Officials believe this will improve coordination and transparency. The initiative aims to support better governance and faster service delivery.

NADRA’s digital transformation is a key part of these changes. The organization plans to use modern technology to improve efficiency. Officials said NADRA will continue to introduce innovations to make services more secure and user-friendly.

In recent developments, NADRA has expanded access to its services through e-Sahulat centers. Around 1,000 additional franchises have been added, bringing the total to nearly 3,000 centers nationwide.

Citizens can now access several services at these centers. These include issuance of B-Forms for children, renewal of identity cards, and obtaining duplicate cards. Services for canceling identity cards of deceased family members are also available.

The expanded facilities are now accessible in major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Hyderabad, and Quetta. They are also available in various districts across the country.

Officials said the goal is to bring services closer to citizens. This will reduce pressure on NADRA offices and improve overall service delivery.
