NAB Files Case Against Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]ISLAMABAD – On Friday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) lodged a reference against Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, along with his wife Bushra Bibi and others in the 190 million pound case. Among the accused in the reference are Farhat Shehzadi (aka Farah Gogi), Shahzad Akbar (Imran Khan’s former accountability adviser), Zulfi Bukhari, and attorney Ziaul Mustafa.

The reference has been submitted in an accountability court in Islamabad, seeking the trial of all suspects under NAB laws. Imran Khan is currently incarcerated in Adiala jail in connection with this case and others. The federal cabinet has already sanctioned Imran Khan’s hearing on the cipher issue within the jail.

Simultaneously, the anti-graft watchdog has issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan, Shahzad Akbar, and three other suspects to facilitate their interrogation in the case. This case revolves around the transfer of funds from the National Crime Agency (NCA) account in Britain. Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi face allegations of receiving substantial sums in exchange for assurances to shield individuals involved in a money laundering case.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
