Golden Jubilee of 1973 constitution

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly (NA) has passed a resolution commemorating the golden jubilee of the 1973 constitution, according news.

According to reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented the resolution during a special session of the National Assembly.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in his address to the National Assembly that 50 years ago, politicians came together despite their differences, and the Constitution is still protected today.

He paid tribute to the leaders and parties who gave the Pakistani people the Constitution. PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that one year ago, the opposition used this constitution to pull Pakistan out of a crisis.

He insisted that all political parties would campaign on their manifestos. Everyone has come together because of the Constitution.

Previously, a committee of Senators and Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) chaired by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani prepared an elaborate programme, following which one-month celebrations will be held across the country.

On the first day of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will lay the foundation stone for the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 Memorial at D-Chowk in front of the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, along with Members of Parliament, will pay a visit to the Martyrs of Democracy memorial in the Parliament House garden.

The National Assembly has also organised a national constitutional convention. The convention has been invited to various segments of society, including constitutional heads of provinces, vice chancellors of universities, women, social and political workers, and students.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
