Mysterious Blast Rocks Ayub Goth Karachi, Building Collapses

A sudden explosion in Karachi’s New Karachi area, specifically in Ayub Goth, destroyed the front section of a two-story building. The blast caused the exposed portion of the structure to collapse to the ground.

Residents said the explosion was loud and unexpected. Many rushed outside in panic. Emergency personnel arrived quickly and cordoned off the area. So far, there are no confirmed reports of fatalities. Injured people are being treated at nearby hospitals.

Authorities have launched an investigation. They are looking into all possible causes, including a gas leak, structural fault, or deliberate act. Officials have not confirmed a cause yet. They called it a “mysterious blast” until more evidence is found.

Local rescue teams cleared debris and searched for anyone trapped under rubble. Some neighbors reported cracks in adjacent buildings. They have been asked to stay away until structural engineers assess safety.

Witnesses said they felt shaking in nearby houses and heard a deep booming sound. The blast’s shockwave rattled windows and doors in the vicinity. Some people in nearby streets ran out in fear.

Officials urged calm and asked for public cooperation. They said safety inspectors would check nearby buildings for damage or risk of collapse. The police have sealed off the site to preserve evidence.

In past weeks, Karachi has seen multiple security operations. Not long ago, security forces killed 108 terrorists in major operations. That operation, however, was unrelated to today’s explosion.

As day turns into night, the community remains on edge. Many want answers: What caused this blast? Was it an accident or something more sinister? Investigators are working to find those answers.
