Murree to Get Sky Walk Bridge, Chairlift, and Cable Car Facilities

Tourism in Murree is set to grow as Punjab approved feasibility studies for two major projects — a Sky Walk Glass Bridge worth Rs 72.152 million and a Chairlift & Cable Car from Lakot to Pindi Point costing Rs 90 million.

The PDWP meeting, chaired by Planning & Development Board Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf, also cleared a Cable Car project at River Indus, Kala Bagh, Mianwali (Rs 81.571 million), alongside several road, IT, and minority affairs schemes totaling Rs 5.118 billion.

Other approved projects include a Rs 1.374 billion road from Danda Shah Bilawal to Ghool via Lawa, the Chief Minister’s Rs 1 billion Minority Development Programme, a Rs 200 million feasibility study for a Lahore theme park, and the Rs 2.3 billion Accelerate Punjab Startups Tech Programme.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Secretary P&D Board Rafaqat Ali, Secretary Tourism Raja Jahangir, and Chief Economist Masood Anwar.
