Latest Valuation Of Multan Sultans After Ali Tareen’s Exit

The Multan Sultans franchise has been valued at Rs140 crore after its former owner, Ali Tareen, decided not to renew his Pakistan Super League (PSL) contract. Tareen cited disagreements with league organizers, calling the tournament’s management “poor.”

In a message shared on X, Ali Tareen described managing the Multan Sultans as one of the greatest honors of his life. He thanked fans for their support and emphasized the importance of representing South Punjab. Tareen also paid tribute to his late uncle, Alamgir Tareen, who had been proud of the team and its connection to the local community.

Tareen encouraged fans to continue supporting the team, regardless of who assumes ownership next. He promised to remain a dedicated supporter in the stands cheering for the Sultans.

With Tareen stepping aside, the Multan Sultans franchise is now open to new ownership. This provides an opportunity for investors to acquire the team ahead of upcoming PSL seasons. Other PSL franchises, including Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators, have already extended their contracts with the league.

The next PSL season will feature two new franchises based in Gilgit and Faisalabad, expanding the league’s reach and further promoting cricket across Pakistan.

The franchise’s new valuation reflects its strong market position and growing fan base. Potential investors can acquire a high-profile T20 team with significant recognition both domestically and internationally. Analysts suggest the move could attract new partnerships and sponsorships, strengthening the PSL’s financial and competitive landscape.
