[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]According to sources, Muhammad Naveed has been asked to take over as Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for an indefinite period of time.
He is currently serving on the PTA’s Member Finance Committee.
Naveed will succeed Gen (R) Amir Azeem, who served as PTA chairman until January of this year. Since then, the position of chief has been vacant.

The cabinet considered the summary titled “Grant of current charge to Muhammad Naveed for the post of Chairman PTA,” according to an approval issued by the cabinet division.
According to sources, a notification will be issued later today.
Aside from the Chairman, the government has yet to appoint members of the authority for compliance and enforcement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
