The holy month of Ramadan began on Sunday, marking the most sacred period of the year for millions of Muslims in Pakistan and around the world. This month is dedicated to fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection, serving as an opportunity to strengthen faith and self-discipline.

In Pakistan, mosques were packed as worshippers gathered for the first Taraveeh prayers following Isha on the night of March 1. Devotees eagerly participated in prayers and later shared the Sehri meal before the Fajr Azan. Roads were bustling with heavy traffic as people traveled to and from mosques, while markets remained crowded with shoppers buying milk, yogurt, and ready-to-eat foods for the pre-dawn meal.

Muslims in Saudi Arabia, Europe, the UK, and the US also began observing their fasts on March 1, joining the global Muslim community in celebrating this sacred time.

For millions worldwide, Ramadan is a time to deepen their spiritual connections, reflect on personal growth, and engage in acts of devotion alongside fellow believers.
