“Being asked to prove my womanhood was one of the most painful moments,” Momina Iqbal stated. She revealed that journalists continuously contacted her for comments, but she struggled to process the situation. “I kept thinking, how can someone even ask such a thing to a woman?” she added.

She also mentioned that people around her suggested releasing a public statement to deny the claims. “There was a moment I thought I might as well share my doctor’s number,” Momina said, describing the bizarre and distressing nature of the issue.

Addressing the core of the matter, Momina Iqbal emphasized that had the rumor been true, she would have had no issue owning it. “But when it’s a complete lie, how am I supposed to respond?” she asked.

The actress expressed frustration over how easily misinformation spreads online, especially when people manipulate old content to create false impressions.

The viral incident has reignited discussions about online ethics, fake news, and the emotional toll such baseless rumors take on public figures.
