Waqar Younis’s new role includes overseeing the National Selection Committee and working with both white-ball and red-ball coaches. The decision aligns with the PCB Constitution of 2014, which allows the Chairman to delegate authority. Naqvi’s move reflects a desire to involve experienced cricketers like Younis in critical decision-making areas, leveraging their expertise to enhance the management and performance of the national cricket team.
