Mohammad Rizwan

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter, is expected to miss the third T20I against New Zealand tonight.

In the previous game, the 30-year-old appeared to be dealing with a back issue and had to leave the field in the seventh over of New Zealand’s chase, with Mohammad Haris taking over wicket-keeping duties.

Babar Azam, on the other hand, did not appear concerned and hinted post-match that Rizwan would return after a brief rest.

Rizwan is feeling better; perhaps a one-game rest and he’ll be back in the lineup, according to Azam.

His absence will also be mitigated by the fact that Pakistan is only one win away from clinching the five-match series, and the Green Shirts can afford to give him all the time he needs to recover.

Mohammad Rizwan was one of the big names to return to the international side for the New Zealand series after missing the Afghanistan series. After failing to make an impact in the first game, the world’s second-ranked batter in the format responded with a 34-ball 50 to help his team take a 2-0 lead over the visitors.

Both Rizwan and Babar are vying to overtake India’s Suryakumar Yadav for the top spot.

Tonight is the third T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
