Ace bowler Mohammad Amir has terminated his contract with a betting company following a warning from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and backlash on social media.
Amir, who was preparing for a comeback to the national team, faced criticism for his association with the betting firm. He responded by canceling his one-year agreement with the company.

The contract stipulated that the betting site would pay Amir Rs1.25 crore for promoting the company on his social media platforms.
The PCB intervened by instructing the betting company to cease using Amir’s image in their advertising campaigns, especially after his reinstatement in the national squad. The board emphasized its policy against such partnerships with betting entities and advised Amir to avoid involvement in related advertising activities.
Subsequently, the betting company has removed all social media content featuring Amir.
