Mobile Services Suspended for Muharram Processions

Mobile services in parts of Islamabad will be temporarily suspended during the processions of 9th and 11th Muharram ul Haram.
However, this suspension will not apply across the entire city but will be limited to specific areas and specific hours. The decision to shut down mobile services in these selected areas was made after the Ministry of Interior received a request from the Office of the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad.

The Interior Minister has given his approval for the closure to ensure security and mitigate potential risks during the processions.
