Millions worth of goods stolen from FIA HQ in Islamabad caused shock among law enforcement. However, Rawalpindi Police swiftly recovered the stolen items and arrested two suspects, one identified as a former FIA employee. The operation took place at Mandira toll plaza, led by Mandra police station, resulting in the retrieval of goods from FIA’s Corporate Banking Circle office in Sector G-13. Despite an attempt to escape, the suspects were caught near LRBT Hospital following a high-speed chase.
The stolen items, detailed in the FIR, include property parcels, mobile phones, wireless sets, counterfeit vehicle number plates, and various cards. Initial interrogation revealed the involvement of suspects Saad Anwar and Muhammad Hamza, who also disclosed the identities of four accomplices. Concerningly, one suspect was previously terminated from the FIA, raising security protocol questions within the agency.

Special task forces are now deployed to capture the remaining culprits, with FIA officials informed of the situation. Preliminary estimates suggest the stolen parcels contain over five crore rupees in both domestic and foreign currency.
The arrested suspects will appear in court today as investigations progress, unraveling the complexity of this bold crime.
