Mild Earthquake Jolts Kalat, No Damage Reported

Tremors were felt in Balochistan’s Kalat district and nearby areas earlier today after a minor earthquake shook the region, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The quake registered a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located 35 kilometers east of Kalat. It struck at a shallow depth of 11 kilometers beneath the surface.

No casualties or structural damage have been reported so far, and the situation remains under control. However, local authorities have urged residents to remain cautious as aftershocks may follow.

The tremors briefly caused panic among locals, but life has largely returned to normal. Monitoring efforts continue to ensure public safety in the region.
