Microsoft Unveils AI-Powered Features for Copilot+ PCs and Windows 11
Microsoft has introduced a series of AI-driven updates designed to enhance user experience across Copilot+ PCs and Windows 11. The new features focus on contextual assistance, task automation, and delivering smart functionalities to a wider range of devices.
Introducing the AI Agent for Copilot+ PCs
One of the standout updates is the debut of a new on-device AI assistant called Agent. This tool enables users to interact with their PC through natural language commands. For example, users can ask the AI to perform tasks like adjusting system settings, such as controlling the computer by voice or increasing the mouse pointer size. With permission, Agent can execute these tasks automatically, streamlining everyday interactions.

Initially, the Agent feature will support English-language queries, with plans for multi-language support in future updates. The rollout will begin with Copilot+ PCs powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, followed by expanded compatibility with Intel and AMD systems.
Enhanced Click to Do Functionality
Another significant update is the improvement of the Click to Do feature within Copilot. This functionality enables the AI to carry out tasks based on the visible content on the user’s screen. With the new update, users will be able to prompt the AI to:
- Draft content in Word
- Convert selected text into bulleted lists
- Transfer data to Excel
- Operate scheduling and messaging tasks in Microsoft Teams
- Activate accessibility tools, including Reading Coach and Immersive Reader
All of these tasks can be executed seamlessly without needing to switch between applications.
New AI Features for All Windows 11 Devices
While Copilot+ PCs are at the forefront of these updates, Windows 11 users are also benefiting from new AI-driven tools. Windows 11 will feature:
- Enhanced customization options for the Start menu
- AI-powered tools integrated into File Explorer
- A new Copilot Vision feature, which allows the Copilot app to analyze and interpret the user’s screen, offering personalized assistance based on what is displayed.
Availability and Rollout
Microsoft has not yet provided a specific timeline for when these updates will reach all devices. However, the rollout will begin with Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, with broader availability for other platforms to follow.
