Despite missing Lionel Messi due to injury, Inter Miami achieved their 16th win in 25 games, bringing their points total to 53. They are now five points ahead of second-placed FC Cincinnati, who suffered a 3-1 defeat against New York Red Bulls.
Matias Rojas opened the scoring for Miami in the sixth minute, but Rafael Czichos equalized for the Fire in the 73rd minute. Alba then netted the winner just two minutes later.

In New York, Lewis Morgan scored twice, with Kyle Duncan adding another goal as the Red Bulls led 3-0 against Cincinnati by the 59th minute. Corey Baird scored a consolation goal for Cincinnati in the 67th minute.

Atlanta United came from behind to beat Columbus 2-1, thanks to two goals from Norwegian defender Stian Gregersen in the 60th and 77th minutes.
Toronto secured a 1-0 win at Montreal with a goal from Canadian midfielder Richie Laryea in the 38th minute.
