Pakistan Suspends Metro Bus Service and Places Hospitals on High Alert Amid Rising Security Tensions

As security tensions escalate following India’s recent military strike inside Pakistan and the country’s subsequent forceful military response, authorities are taking precautionary measures to ensure public safety and minimize risks.

Metro Bus Service Suspended

According to state broadcaster PTV, the Metro Bus Service operating between Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been temporarily suspended until Thursday. This decision aims to protect commuters amid the heightened threat environment caused by the ongoing security situation.

Hospitals on High Alert

In addition to the suspension of public transport services, hospitals across the capital, including the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Polyclinic, and other medical facilities, have been placed on high alert. Health officials have confirmed that all staff leaves have been canceled to ensure that emergency services remain fully operational during this critical time

These precautionary measures come as Pakistan remains vigilant, following India’s aggression and the subsequent escalation in military activity along the border.
