Met Office Discloses Expected Eid ul Fitr Date In Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted the potential date for Eidul Fitr 2024, one of Pakistan’s major Islamic festivals.

According to their prediction, Eidul Fitr is anticipated to fall on April 11, 2024, following a month-long fasting period observed by Pakistanis.

Ramadan 2024 commenced on March 12 in Pakistan, with the sighting of the Shawwal moon likely to occur on April 10, 2024 (Wednesday).

Earlier this year, the Cabinet Division issued a list of holidays for the current year, outlining that the public will have off days from April 10 to April 12 for Eid ul Fitr celebrations.

It’s important to note that the dates for Islamic festivals are contingent upon moon sighting. The official announcement of Eid holidays will be made by the country’s apex moon sighting committee, Ruet Hilal, on April 10, 2024.
