A fresh spell of westerly winds is forecasted to enter the upper parts of Pakistan starting tomorrow evening, bringing rain and snowfall to several regions across the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department. This weather system is expected to impact northern and central areas, particularly from November 14 to 16.
Key regions expected to receive rain and thunderstorms include:
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur.
- Punjab: Light rain is expected in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Khushab, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas like Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, and Jhelum. This rain will likely reduce smog in Punjab, but it may also lead to increased fog in the plains afterward.
