[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Singer Meesha Shafi, who accused actor-singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment, has admitted making a false statement in the media, according to news, as the defamation case is once again being heard in a Lahore sessions court.

Cross-examination of the female singer took place as Extra Sessions via video link. Ali Zafar filed a slander lawsuit, which Justice Khan Mahmood heard.

Zafar was also present in person at the hearing in the court.

During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer, Advocate Tariq Gul, questioned Shafi about the evidence of sexual harassment she submitted in the court.

The evidence was a photo of both singers together which the female singer had herself uploaded on Facebook.

The lawyer argued that the picture could not be considered as evidence of sexual harassment because she was the one who uploaded it with a caption “tonight we party”.

To which, the female singer said she didn’t remember the picture and would have to see it to comment further and then, she was shown the photo.

Meesha was questioned further by Zafar’s attorney over her assertion that she had never been summoned.

The female singer “deliberately misrepresented” the court ruling, according to the lawyer. It was a “slip of the tongue,” Meesha Shafi said in response.

The court ruled that Shafi’s cross-examination would proceed on March 1 after hearing arguments.

It is important to note that Ali Zafar has sued Meesha Shafi for defamation and disputed the accusations of sexual harassment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
