[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In a harsh attack on Imran Khan, head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Maryam Nawaz of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) accused him of being “fit for political rallies but ill for courts” on Thursday.
In a vehement speech at a youth leadership ceremony in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz blasted the former prime minister for allegedly exploiting the party’s workers and female followers as human shields while hiding behind various justifications, including health problems.
Imran rallied workers and supporters for the ‘Jail Bharo’ (fills the jails) movement but hid inside his home himself, she remarked.
The PML-N senior leader also expressed her grief over the death of PTI worker Ali Bilal and called for an investigation into his death.

“The life of a PTI worker is also valuable because he is also a human being,” she said. “One individual is spreading mischief and chaos but hides like a coward while pushing the youth in front.”
“My heart shed tears of blood when I saw the picture last night when the deceased PTI worker’s elderly father was called to Zaman Park (Imran Khan’s residence) for condolences. The man’s son was killed, but he was made to sit on the side like he was he was his (Imran’s) paid servant,” she said.
“Imran had his legs crossed, with one shoe pointing in the direction of the ailing father. Never before have I witnessed such blatant disdain for a political worker.” She remarked on how someone could respect his youth if he treated party members and their parents in such a disrespectful manner.
Maryam also criticised Imran’s “hypocrisy,” saying he had transferred his kids to safety in London while inciting violence on Pakistani streets.
She explained, “The individual who is encouraging you to go out on the streets has kept his own children safe in London while sitting at home with a bandage around his foot.
Maryam asked the nation’s youth to rethink political campaigns in which leaders drive the youth forward to face the batons while hiding in their houses while calling for an investigation into the death of PTI employee Ali Bilal.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
