Maryam Nawaz Launches Punjab’s First Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the province’s first-ever mobile police station and mobile licensing unit, marking a major step toward improving public service delivery. The initiative aims to make police and licensing services more accessible, especially for people living in remote areas.

During the inauguration ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz said the mobile units would help citizens get driving licenses, file complaints, and receive police assistance without needing to visit traditional offices. She added that the project reflects her government’s commitment to modernizing Punjab’s policing and service systems.

According to officials, the first phase includes several mobile vans equipped with digital systems, cameras, and license printers. These vehicles will travel to different districts to provide on-the-spot services such as learner permits, license renewals, and even complaint registration. Special vans will also be assigned for women’s safety and convenience.

The initiative has been praised for promoting transparency, efficiency, and citizen convenience. Authorities plan to expand the project further across Punjab in the coming months.
