Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, on Saturday, where she was warmly welcomed and briefed on the exhibition’s goals, projects, and global initiatives.
Praising the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” she called the Expo a key platform for advancing humanity and enhancing public services. She admired the innovative ideas, especially those focused on modern technology, eco-friendly practices, and improved public facilities.
At the Pakistan Pavilion, Maryam interacted with overseas Pakistanis and international visitors, appreciating the pavilion’s arrangements and stressing the importance of showcasing Pakistan’s cultural and technological heritage globally.
She also unveiled plans to develop Punjab’s cities under the “Future City” model, aimed at creating sustainable, eco-friendly, and technology-driven urban living.
During her visit, the CM explored the stall of Japanese company KUBOTA, known for sustainable food and agriculture solutions, and toured the Expo’s landmark attraction—the “Grand Ring,” the world’s largest wooden structure. She also attended the spectacular “Rainbow in the Dark Night” Water and Light Show, which drew wide attention.
The global exhibition features participation from over 150 Japanese and international companies.
