Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz shared that she works from 9 AM to midnight. During an informal chat with journalists in Lahore, she mentioned that while the Governor had the option to reject the appointment of vice-chancellors, they chose not to. She explained that the Governor had expressed a preference for appointing his own vice-chancellor.
Addressing concerns about the appointment process, Maryam clarified that the issue was mainly related to Punjab University and assured that all vice-chancellors were selected based on merit and transparency. She emphasized her commitment to ensuring merit in all decisions.

Maryam further noted that although she receives numerous recommendations from MNAs and MPAs, she disregards them to maintain fairness in her decisions.
