Actor and activist Mark Ruffalo has taken aim at former U.S. President Donald Trump and the ultra-wealthy, arguing that billionaires—not immigrants—are the real danger to American society.
In a fiery social media post and video, Ruffalo praised immigrants for boosting the economy “by the billions” while accusing billionaires of exploiting the system. “They’re stealing you blind,” he said, calling out the wealthy for hoarding power and worsening economic inequality. “It’s time to take our country back from extreme wealth that controls our politics,” he declared.

A longtime advocate for immigration reform, Ruffalo recently joined the No Kings protest against Trump-era deportation policies. He slammed ongoing ICE raids and pushed back against those who scapegoat immigrants. “You want to blame the people picking your food… but not the elites filling your heads with lies?” he wrote.
Ruffalo didn’t hold back in his criticism of Trump, calling him a “grifter” and accusing his family of shady business dealings, including cryptocurrency scams. “You’re worried about the poorest people ‘ruining’ the country,” Ruffalo said, “while billionaires at the top rob you without consequence.”
He also targeted tech billionaires, accusing them of pocketing taxpayer money while ignoring crises like famine, disease, and human rights abuses.
Beyond activism, Ruffalo remains busy in Hollywood. He’ll star in Bong Joon Ho’s sci-fi film Mickey 17 and lead HBO’s new crime drama Task, from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby, premiering this September.
