Maria B, a prominent fashion designer and successful businesswoman from Pakistan, has responded to the recent protest organized by the Aurat March Lahore. The protest, held on February 12 to mark Pakistan’s National Women’s Day, saw demonstrators marching from the Press Club to Faletti’s Hotel, carrying placards targeting Maria B and former actress Mishi Khan.
In her reply, Maria B dismissed the protest, labeling it the “Qaum e Lout March” and the “Unsuccessful Women’s March.” She expressed that the public of Pakistan had already rejected such demonstrations and voiced her disappointment at the actions of the protestors. Maria B further criticized the organizers, suggesting that their motivations were driven by external funding and a specific agenda.

The designer expressed her belief that most Pakistani women aspire to live in accordance with Islamic teachings, focusing on independence and success to support their families. She emphasized that women who seek to contribute positively to their families should not align themselves with what she views as a controversial movement.
Her comments have sparked further debate, with Maria continuing to advocate for women who strive to be strong, successful contributors to their families rather than part of what she perceives as an unsuccessful cause.
