RAWALPINDI – A man in Rawalpindi has been booked under the PECA Act 2016 for sharing a video of a traffic officer lifting a wrongly parked car on social media.
The case, registered at Cantt Police Station on Traffic Warden Imran Sikandar’s complaint, falls under Section 21, Subsection 1D of the PECA Act.

The complainant claimed the accused filmed the incident despite a challan being issued and posted it online to stir public resentment against the traffic police. The FIR stated that the shop owner, outside whose shop the vehicle was parked, recorded and uploaded the video.
In a related case last week, the FIA arrested a suspect in Islamabad for an alleged “anti-state campaign” and leaking sensitive government data online.
