Malala Yousafzai Confesses Trying Weed While at Oxford

Malala Yousafzai has revealed a startling experience from her time as a student at Oxford University, admitting that she once tried weed with her friends. In an interview with a British newspaper, the Nobel Peace Prize winner said that the experience quickly turned distressing, triggering vivid flashbacks of the horrifying day she was attacked in her hometown of Swat.

She explained that the drug made her feel as though she had been transported back to that traumatic moment — hearing the screams, the sound of gunfire, and reliving the fear she experienced on the school bus. Malala admitted she thought she had long overcome those painful memories, but the effects of the weed brought them rushing back with terrifying intensity.

As panic set in, her friends tried to comfort her, keeping her in a room while she vomited and advising against going to the hospital. Malala said she spent the entire night unable to sleep, gripped by fear that she might not survive until morning.
