Madhubala the Elephant to Be Relocated to Safari Park Tomorrow

Karachi Zoo’s iconic elephant, Madhubala, will be relocated to Safari Park tomorrow, marking a significant milestone in efforts to enhance her welfare. The move, coordinated by international animal welfare group Four Paws and zoo authorities, is aimed at providing Madhubala with a more suitable habitat.

SAMAA correspondent Khurshid Alam reported that preparations for the transition have been completed, including plans to sedate Madhubala to ensure her safe transport.

The relocation will not only offer Madhubala access to open spaces but will also reunite her with her sisters after 15 years of separation. Four Paws highlighted that the new enclosure will allow Madhubala to enjoy natural activities such as mud baths, swimming in a large pool, and dusting herself with various soils.

The public eagerly anticipates Madhubala’s arrival at Safari Park, where better facilities will foster a healthier and more fulfilling environment for her.

Stay tuned for updates on her new chapter at Karachi Safari Park.
