The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for October 2024. According to the notification, the price has been raised by Rs7.31 per kilogram, setting the new rate at Rs251.30 per kg, up from Rs243.99.
The price of a domestic LPG cylinder has also been increased by Rs86, bringing it to Rs2,965.38 for October. In comparison, the price for September was Rs2,879.10. These changes will take effect from October 1, 2024.

In addition, the Pakistani government is set to announce new petrol and diesel rates for the next fortnight, with expectations of maintaining the current petrol price at Rs249.10 per litre. However, there may be a slight decrease in the ex-depot price of high-speed diesel.
Global petrol and diesel premium rates remain stable, with petrol at $8.768 per barrel and diesel at $5 per barrel. Diesel prices in Pakistan may drop to Rs247.58 per litre, and kerosene oil is expected to decrease by Rs3.23, bringing it to Rs155.24 per litre starting October 1.
