Movements have always been sustained by the dedication and sacrifices of those who remain committed to their ideals.
However, in the case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), loyalty was often met with betrayal. Many who devoted their time and efforts to advancing the party’s narrative found themselves ignored or sidelined.
Among them was Sher Afzal Marwat, a staunch supporter of PTI, who made significant sacrifices for the party. He repeatedly declared, “I will never take a fee to fight Imran Khan’s case, for his sight is enough payment for me.” Yet, despite his unwavering commitment, he too was pushed aside.

A similar fate befell Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, who was reportedly excluded from the party due to conflicts with Bushra Bibi’s influence.
Additionally, Ali Amin Gandapur was replaced by Junaid Akbar as PTI’s president in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, despite Akbar demonstrating his dedication by enduring imprisonment for the party.
Many within PTI believe that the party’s founder now wishes to speak out, but several promises remain unfulfilled. Imran Khan had famously declared, “Before taking a loan, I would rather commit suicide,” yet his government accumulated record-breaking debt.
Furthermore, Imran Khan and his close associates have gained a reputation for their mockery and ridicule of political opponents, often making childish remarks. Leaders have previously belittled Bilawal Bhutto’s accent, while current PTI ministers have frequently used offensive labels to demean political rivals.
This divisive approach has weakened PTI from within, eroding its core values.
When personal interests and biases overshadow principles, a movement loses its essence and risks fading into history.
