Mild earthquake tremors rattled Khuzdar district and surrounding areas in Balochistan on Thursday, sending panicked residents rushing out of their homes. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the quake measured 3.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre located 50 kilometres southeast of Khuzdar at a depth of 20 kilometres.
Though no casualties or property damage were reported at the time of filing, the sudden shaking of doors and windows sparked widespread anxiety. Locals described the brief tremors as unsettling, despite their relatively low intensity.
