[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) elected a woman secretary for the first time since the organization’s founding in 1893 on Saturday, making history in the process.
At the LHCBA secretary election for the years 2023–2024, Sabahat Rizvi defeated her two male opponents by 4,310 votes. She has never before run for office. Although the bulk of the attorneys backed her regardless of group affiliations, she is associated with the Independent group, also known as the Asma Jahangir group.
