The Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed the petition filed by the PTI founder, which challenged the trial court’s decision to permit written testimonies in the defamation case initiated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal of the LHC announced the reserved verdict, rejecting the plea.

The petitioner contended that the trial court’s ruling contradicted the facts and argued that witnesses should provide verbal testimonies instead of written statements.
However, the High Court upheld the trial court’s decision, affirming the admissibility of written testimonies in the case.
