LESCO vehicle used in drug smuggling

According to a report from City42, the Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) has launched an investigation after it was discovered that its cars were being used for this illegal business.

Transport Assistant Manager Tauseef is being investigated for allegedly using a government vehicle to smuggle items.

Because the suspect was driving a government car with a personal number, more investigation has been launched against him. An investigation has been started after suspicions were raised about the vehicle in issue, which the Excise Department records under the name LESCO.

In addition, investigations have been opened into the following LESCO-related cases:

  • Providing Govt vehicles to former project director Farid Mehboob.
  • Petrol allegedly being smuggled.

A committee has been established by LESCO Chief Shahid Haider to conduct the inquiries. The committee’s chairman has been chosen as LESCO’s General Manager Technical.

He is accompanied by the Deputy Manager of Finance and the Director of S and I, both of whom will participate in the committee.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
