Latest Remarks By Shahbaz Sharif For Bilawal Bhutto

Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif advised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday that expressing sorrow is unproductive and stressed the need for collaborative efforts in addressing challenges.

Following his meeting with Nawab Aslam Raisani, the former Balochistan chief minister, Shehbaz referred to the PPP chairman as a “young brother,” emphasizing the importance of moving beyond blame games and adopting a more substantive approach to politics.

“Merely crying or pointing fingers won’t lead us anywhere; we must engage in serious politics,” remarked the former premier. He cautioned against a blame-centric approach, asserting its inadequacy in addressing the country’s challenges.

Shehbaz noted that Bilawal had collaborated with the PML-N-led coalition government for 16 months, highlighting that all decisions were made through consultations.

These remarks followed Bilawal’s advice to the PML-N leader to “focus on Lahore” after a visit to Balochistan aimed at garnering support from influential figures before the upcoming elections.

The PML-N has been expanding its presence in Sindh – traditionally a stronghold of the PPP – and Balochistan while actively engaging with electables and forming alliances.

During his meeting with Aslam Khan Raisani, Shehbaz invited the former chief minister to join the PML-N, to which Raisani stated he would make a decision soon.

Shehbaz underscored the urgent need for a unified approach to tackle the social, political, and economic challenges facing Pakistan. Emphasizing the importance of learning from historical lessons, he stressed the collective responsibility of political leaders and stakeholders in guiding the nation toward progress.

Despite Pakistan’s status as a nuclear power, Shehbaz lamented the evident economic struggles over the past 75 years, calling for concerted efforts to rectify the situation. Speaking about the PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister praised Sharif’s contributions and initiatives for Balochistan’s development, contrasting them with the lack of progress during the PTI’s four-year government term, which he characterized as a period marked by destruction.
