As the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) enters its decisive phase, Lahore Qalandars have received a timely boost with the return of Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain. He rejoins the squad after fulfilling national team duties.
The Qalandars confirmed Rishad’s comeback through a social media post, sharing his photo with the caption: “LOOK WHO’S BACK!! It’s Rishad Hossain — back in the squad ahead of the all-important Eliminator against Karachi Kings.”

The 21-year-old has impressed in his debut PSL season, taking nine wickets in five matches at an average of 16.44, becoming a key asset in the middle overs.
Rishad’s return is a major plus for Lahore as they gear up to face rivals Karachi Kings in a high-stakes Eliminator on Thursday, May 22, at Gaddafi Stadium. The winner advances to Qualifier 2 against Islamabad United, for a chance to reach the final versus Quetta Gladiators.
Lahore’s lineup now boasts strong Bangladeshi representation. All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is set to replace Sikandar Raza, and veteran Shakib Al Hasan is already part of the squad. Mehidy is expected in Lahore by Tuesday, having secured clearance from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
With Rishad’s impactful return, Qalandars will be aiming to stay in the title race with renewed momentum
