Lahore Police have intensified their efforts to control the dangerous practice of one-wheelers and underage driving. In July alone, authorities arrested 126 individuals involved in performing one-wheel stunts on public roads. This crackdown is part of a broader campaign to improve road safety across the city.
So far in 2025, police have detained 1,187 people for riding one-wheelers and registered 1,067 cases against them. Officials are committed to reducing these risky behaviors, which often lead to accidents and traffic disruptions.
Central to this operation are special checkpoints set up by the police on major roads. According to CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamiana, these checkpoints help catch offenders and deter others from performing one-wheel stunts. Teams from the traffic police, Dolphin Squad, and the Punjab Emergency Response Agency (PERA) are actively involved in these actions.
Moreover, strict measures have been ordered against mechanics who modify motorcycles to enable one-wheel stunts. Such modifications are illegal and increase the risk of accidents. The police warn that anyone caught altering bikes for dangerous riding will face legal consequences.
Bilal Siddique Kamiana also appealed to young riders to avoid riding one-wheelers, making illegal modifications, and causing disturbances on the roads. He emphasized that these actions endanger not only the riders but also other road users.
This ongoing crackdown reflects Lahore Police’s commitment to ensuring safer roads for everyone. By targeting one-wheelers and underage drivers, authorities aim to reduce accidents and improve traffic discipline in the city.
The focus on one-wheelers is critical as their risky stunts can lead to serious injuries or fatalities. Police continue to urge citizens to follow traffic laws and prioritize safety at all times.
