PHALIA – A tragic triple murder shocked the village of Asadullahpur near Phalia, Punjab. A man allegedly killed his parents and wife over a dispute involving land money.
The suspect, Ehsanullah, had recently returned from Kuwait. Instead of a peaceful reunion, his return turned violent and deadly.
According to police, Ehsanullah demanded a share in Rs. 20 million. This money came from the sale of four kanals of agricultural land. His father, Muhammad Hussain, had received the amount before the incident.
When the family refused to give him a share, Ehsanullah lost control. He reportedly pulled out a pistol and fired several shots.
The victims were identified as his 75-year-old father Muhammad Hussain, 70-year-old mother Rasoolan Bibi, and 35-year-old wife Maria Bibi. All three died on the spot.
After the brutal killings, the accused fled the scene with the weapon. The incident caused panic and grief across the entire village.
Police soon arrived at the crime scene. They sealed off the area and moved the bodies to THQ Hospital Phalia for autopsy. A forensic team was also called in to collect evidence.
A murder case has been registered, and a manhunt is underway to arrest the killer.
DPO Mandi Bahauddin, Waseem Riaz Khan, visited the crime scene and directed officers to take immediate action. Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, also took notice. He ordered local authorities to arrest the suspect and provide legal support to the grieving family.
Ehsanullah had spent several years working in Kuwait before returning to Pakistan. Locals say his behavior changed after his return from Kuwait, leading to rising tensions at home.
Authorities continue their search for the fugitive, as the community mourns the loss of three lives.
