The prime minister, Sheikh Ahmad, declared his wish to spread the tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and respect for all people that are important to Islam.

The decision was prompted by a blasphemous incident that occurred in Sweden on June 28, the first day of Eid al-Adha, where an Iraqi citizen desecrated copies of the Quran. This incident sparked profound sadness and anger among Muslims worldwide.
The Swedish translation of the Quran should be finished shortly and distributed to mosques, libraries, schools, and other organisations across Sweden.
Knut Bernström, a well-known Swedish translator, completed the translation work. Additionally, the translated version is accessible online and as an iPhone and iPad app.
The prime minister of Kuwait expressed the hope that this programme will promote tolerance and respect for various religious and cultural traditions.
